Activities:

1. Establishment of Greater Calcutta Gas Supply Corporation Ltd. (G.C.G.S.C.L.)
   • Joint Venture between GAIL & GCGSCL signed on 24.07.2018 regarding City Gas Distribution (C.G.D.) Network Project.
   • Coverage : 12 lakh house hold in 5 years
   • Gas availability expected from December, 2020.


2. Matter related to Petroleum Exploration License (P.E.L.) in favour of ONGC:
   • After more than 60 years of relentless effort in hydrocarbon exploration, finally ONGC discovered commercial hydrocarbon (both oil and gas) from Well from Asoknagar-I in JV-Block WB-ONN-2005/4.
   • Recently PEL has been granted to ONGC from a new Block- BP-ONHP-2018/1.


3. Funding to Central Institute of Plastic Engineering & Technology (CIPET) Center of Haldia.
   • Budget Allotted – 5 Crore for 2018-19
   • DPR submitted by CIPET – 5 (five) crore 2 (two) thousand 500 (five hundred) only.
   • Chief Engineer, PW Dte., has vetted DPR for an amount of Rs.5,04,56,984/-. The matter is being referred to Finance Department for sanction of the said amount.


4. Floating Storage & Regasification Unit (FSRU)
   • (FSRU) Project of H.Energy at Digha Basin.
   • They have applied for supply of pipeline gas at West Bengal to MoPNG (Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas ) other than GAIL Area.
