Audit & Budget Branch

Activities:

• Estimation of Budget including Directorates/Parastatals & Financial Advisor set up of this Department at different juncture of time for onward transmission to Finance Department through Central Budget Management System (CBMS) module of Integrated Financial Management System (IFMS).
• Carrying out the key role in terms of allotment of funds to Directorates/Parastatals after getting necessary concurrence of Finance Department/Financial Advisor & approval of Departmental authority. The branch also plays a nodal role for making the funds available through re-appropriation/augmentation.
• All audit related matters of different Directorates & Parastatals under the administrative control of this Department.
• Matters related to West Bengal Legislative Assembly.
